Our multidisciplinary clinic in Valdosta, GA was nominated and awarded Small Business of the Year for Valdosta State University Small Business Development Center. STS was interviewed and broadcast on multiple news networks, due to this recognition. The University of Georgia Small Business Development Center film crew also shot and highlighted STS in a widely broadcast video throughout the state of Georgia. Additionally, Verizon has nominated Southern Therapy Solutions, LLC, as the “most connected” business in the nation regarding high-tech devices that are used by the all-inclusive clinic in order to provide the most optimal care to all of our patients. Results for this nomination have not been determined.

Our Staff

Erin Haskins - Owner/Operator, M.Ed., CCC-SLP

I’m Erin Haskins, and I’m a licensed speech-language pathologist and founder of Southern Therapy Solutions, LLC, a company focused on empowering therapists to design interventions that support the whole patient, with no limitations. Prior to founding Southern Therapy Solutions, LLC, in 2015, I gained experience with patients of all ages in the local school systems, hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, assisted living centers, swing bed rehab facilities, intensive care units, acute inpatient rehab facilities, home health therapy settings, private private owner, and outpatient therapy settings. In 2008, I completed my Master’s in Communication Sciences and my Bachelor’s in Communication Sciences and Disorders in 2007. Both of my degrees are from Valdosta State University. I also completed training and certification in VitalStim Therapy, Autism Certification, Augmentative Alternative Communication, and SOS Approach to Feeding. I also have a Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association, a license to practice in the State of Georgia from the Georgia Department of Professional Regulation.

Erin has been happily married to her husband, Dustin, since 2013.  Together, they have two beautiful children, Emery and Brantley.  They live in Erin's wonderful hometown of Hahira.  In her spare time you will find Erin spending time with her family, her two dogs (Honeybee and Waffles), her two cats (Tinkerbelle and Walker), traveling, and attending/participating in community events.

Derek Hendley - BCBA/ABA Clinical Director

Derek is a native of Lakeland, Georgia and he has been passionately serving the Autism community for over 14 years. He has received training using various assessments and continues to broaden his knowledge in the field in ABA. Derek strives to provide exceptional education, support, and evidence-based care for his clients. His caring nature and open and welcoming personality sets him apart as an exemplary role model. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family and friends, serving at his local church, being outdoors, and volunteering for various community organizations/non-profits.
Derek has been happily married to his beautiful wife, Lissa Hendley for 12 years now. She serves as the Preschool and Children’s Director at Southside Baptist Church in Lakeland. They have three boys, Cody, 8; Owen, 3; Reid 10 months. He loves being a BCBA because he gets to serve others every day and make connections with them that have lasting impacts. Derek says, "it's the small things that we often take for granted that mean the most to our families."

JoAnn Allen - Administrative Assistant

My name is JoAnn Allen and I am an Administrative Assistant and a certified Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) for Southern Therapy Solutions. I have been with Southern Therapy Solutions since the summer of 2022. I am very thankful for the opportunity to work with such amazing families and coworkers, all while learning so much about the world of therapy. I moved from Tampa, FL to Valdosta in 2018, when I got married. Prior to working for Southern Therapy Solutions I have working experience in education, healthcare, and construction fields. I feel that my diverse background has helped shape me for my current position. I am a North Florida Community College graduate in early education. I plan to further my education this coming year through Valdosta State University in the hopes of gaining more knowledge in the administrative portion area so that I can better help our families, better assist my coworkers, and best support our wonderful community.   

Macey Zeh - M.Ed., CCC-SLP

My name is Macey Zeh and I am from Valdosta, GA.  I graduated from Valdosta State University with a Bachelor's (2014) and Master's (2016) of Science in Education in Communication Sciences and Disorders.  I have experience with early intervention through geriatric populations in outpatient clinics and the school setting.  I currently live in Valdosta with my husband and two kids, Ivy and Miller.  I have two dogs, Wallace and Poppy, and one cat, Cat.  I look forward to meeting you and help you reach your goals, at STS! 

Teri Friedman - RBT/RBT Manager to Leadership Team

Hi! My name is Teri Friedman. I have been an RBT since 2018 and an RBT manager since 2022. I have a passion for early childhood education and I have experience working as a Pre K teacher. I have an Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education. I love my job at STS, as well as the team of people I work with. I truly feel like I have a work family here at Southern Therapy Solutions! I am from San Diego, CA, but married someone who grew up in South Georgia and we always wanted to come back to this area. We have two daughters, one who majored in Fashion Design in Savannah and another finishing up a degree in Anthropology in Augusta. When I have time off I love antiquing and reading. I also enjoy listening to music and my husband and I have a huge record collection because we are very old school! Looking forward to meeting you at STS!
